Field Service Engineer

Location: Dublin  
Salary: €40,000 – €48,000 per annum     
Hours: 40 hours per week

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Service Technician to join our technical team, specialising in the installation, maintenance, and repair of advanced woodworking machinery. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills, who thrives in a hands-on, customer-facing environment.

Field Service Engineer Duties:

• Install, commission, and configure woodworking machinery at customer locations.
• Conduct routine servicing and preventive maintenance on a range of equipment including CNC routers, edgebanders, panel saws, and sanding machines.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic software faults.
• Provide remote technical support via phone, email, or diagnostics tools.
• Train end-users on safe operation, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation of all work carried out.

Field Service Engineer Requirements:

• Recognised technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Engineering.
• Previous experience in field service or technical support, preferably in the woodworking or industrial machinery sectors.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and wiring schematics.
• Strong practical knowledge of hydraulic and/or pneumatic systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Confident communicator, able to explain technical issues clearly to customers.
• Willingness to travel across the country, with occasional overnight stays.
