Pay Rate: £180 - £210 per day

3 Month Initial Contract

Location: Newbury

Syntech recruitment are immediately recruiting for a 1st / 2nd Line IT Support Engineer for a market leading motorsport manufacturing business based in Newbury, Berkshire.

Your objective will be to provide additional capacity in IT support for over 350 users and 400 computers ranging laptops to high end engineering workstations.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

-Build and support Windows based IT Hardware (Printers, PCs, Workstations, servers etc) and desktop software (Windows 7, Windows 10, MS Office, VMware and Netapps)

-Troubleshoot desktop and/or network issues

-Troubleshoot and resolve user IT issues

-Work through backlog of outstanding IT support issues

-Prepare decommissioned equipment for disposal

-Assist in the support and management of onsite data centre operations and improvements

-Assist IT Manager as directed during anticipated period of change and investment in IT

You will need to have the following knowledge/experience:

- Microsoft 2000-2008/2012/2016 Server

- Microsoft XP, Windows 7, Windows 10, Desktop

- Microsoft Office Support

- Active Directory

- Group Policies

- IP Networks & Serial communications

- At least 3 years of 1st and 2nd line IT support experience

You will have an advantage if you have the following knowledge/experience/qualifications/training:

- Avaya IP Office

- Basic Cyber security understanding

- Understanding of ITIL and helpdesk support processes

- ITIL foundation certificate

- One of the following: MCP,MCSE,MOS,CCNA
