Area Sales Manager

Syntech Recruitment are currently working with a client that require an experienced Area Sales Manager to cover the whole of the UK in a role that will involve building key relationships with existing and new clients, promoting the companies brand and achieving sales targets. You will ideally come from a Calibration/Metrology  background, or a sound understanding of engineering sales.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing strategic sales plans that expand the company’s customer base and solidify its presence.
• Achieving growth and hitting sales targets
• Establishing productive and professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts
• Building and promoting healthy, long-lasting new customer relationships by partnering with them.
• Developing and implementing new sales initiatives, strategies, and programmes to capture key demographics.

• Promoting the company’s existing brands and introducing new products and services to the market.
• Researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans, understanding new customer requirements, and suggesting system improvements to achieve company’s marketing goals.
• Developing & implementing new sales plans and advertising.
• Development of relationships with important new customers by making regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new opportunities.
• Staying current in the industry by attending educational opportunities, conferences, and workshops, reading publications, and maintaining personal and professional networks.
• Increasing sales volume and marketing performance for the company.
• Increasing revenue by consulting on best practice and development of new partner strategies.
• Monitoring and analyzing performance of areas of the business to establish profit improvements and identifying operational improvements.
• Plan and carry out effective research and to see to identify sales opportunities and use lead referrals to maximize potential business.
• Ensuring delivery of revenue to meet and exceed targets.
• Liaising & working closely with customer service team in ensuring timely delivery of customer quotations.
• Providing Commercial Director with KPI and Sales reports.
• Comply with company H&S guidelines.

 About you

• A clear understanding of metrology processes
