BIM Coordinator

Up to €55k

Monday-Friday (40 hours per week)

Flexibility to work from home 2 or 3 days per week

Syntech are looking for an experienced BIM Coordinator to join an expanding engineering business in the west of Ireland. The successful BIM Coordinator will work out of our client's facility in county Mayo in the West of Ireland a couple of days per week and will have the flexibility to work from home for the remainder of the week. You will be joining at an exciting time as they have some excellent projects in the pipeline, and you will have a clear career path mapped out for you. Projects currently in the works within the Industrial and Pharmaceutical industries.

Candidates must have Strong experience of using BIM software is essential - Revit, NavisWorks & AutoCad at a minimum

Key Primary Responsibilities:

* Co-ordinate the design of both Mechanical and Electrical services
* Collaborate with the design team and other departments to identify goals and communicate procedural changes
* Preparation of manufacturing and construction drawings
* Working and co-ordinating with third party vendors
* Receipt and management of all project drawings
* Liaise on the development of the department's systems and procedures
* BIM software, troubleshooting, training and setting up guidelines for use
* Revit modelling & CAD drafting support to multiple disciplines
* Ensure that individual and team targets are achieved to the highest standards

Role Requirements:
* Strong experience of using BIM software is essential - Revit, NavisWorks & AutoCad at a minimum
* Experience using Piping design software such as CADWorx, Plant 3D and Solidworks is beneficial
* Experience using the BIM 360 platform is advantageous
* A good understanding of BIM Level 2 requirements and industry BIM protocol
* Third level degree in a related discipline
* 3+ years of demonstrated proficiency in BIM software is essential for this position
* Design co-ordination experience across multiple disciplines
* Ability to work autonomously and lead coordination meetings with various project stake holders
* Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software systems
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with good commercial acumen
* A team player who is a good multi-tasker and flexible in adapting to the demands of challenging project environments
* Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
* Candidates must be eligible to work in Ireland without visa assistance

Key Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years' industry experience preferably in Mechanical Engineering
