Syntech Recruitment is partnering with one of Ireland’s leading mechanical services companies to find a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer. This role offers the opportunity to work on a mix of office-based and on-site projects, with the potential for a hybrid working arrangement after six months. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, skilled professional with excellent time management, prioritisation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Liaising with clients, design teams, and contractors throughout projects.
• Participating in coordination meetings with design teams.
• Conducting design reviews and validating equipment, pipe, and duct sizes.
• Developing technical submittals, equipment registers, and trackers.
• Managing the execution of commissioning test certificates.
• Overseeing mechanical-related RFIs during the construction phase.
• Managing all drawing activities, including requests, reviews, updates to as-built status, and issuing of soft and hard copy masters.

Requirements:

• Experience:
  • Minimum of 3+ years as a Mechanical Project Engineer.
  • Residential and commercial project experience is essential.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and other software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Solid understanding of M&E systems within buildings.
• Personal Attributes:
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently when required.
  • Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to coordinate effectively on projects.
• Other Qualifications:
  • A relevant qualification in Building Mechanical Services Engineering is desirable.
  • A full, clean Irish driving licence is required.
