Location: Camberley, Surrey. 

Salary: £14-15 per hour. 39 hours per week

As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Manual Turner/Miller to join their dynamic team.

  Job Purpose As a Manual Turner/Miller, you will be responsible for producing precision-engineered components in accordance with engineering specifications. Using manual and semi-automatic lathes and milling machines, you will ensure efficient, accurate, and safe machining to meet production requirements.

  Key Responsibilities

• Precision Machining – Operate manual and semi-automatic lathes and milling machines (Prototrak/XYZ) to manufacture components to exact specifications.
• Engineering Drawings – Interpret technical and engineering drawings to produce high-quality parts.
• Measuring & Inspection – Utilize measuring instruments and gauges to ensure components meet strict tolerances and quality standards.
• Continuous Improvement – Contribute ideas to enhance production efficiency, quality, and workplace safety.
• Health & Safety Compliance – Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards to maintain a safe working environment.
• Quality Control – Conduct intermediate inspections to verify accuracy and make adjustments as needed.
• Professionalism – Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Ad-Hoc Duties – Undertake any other relevant tasks as required by the company.

  Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience in a machining environment.
• Proficiency in operating manual and semi-automatic lathes and mills (Prototrak/XYZ).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong mathematical and measuring skills for calculating dimensions and tolerances.
• Time-served qualifications such as ONC, NVQ, or an equivalent Apprenticeship.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently or within a team.
• Physically fit and able to meet the demands of the role.
• A positive, proactive, and flexible approach to work.
