CNC Miller / CNC Machinist

Salary: £22.01ph basic rate, £27.51ph shift rate 
Location: based near Carmyle, Glasgow (G32)
Hours: 37 hours, Monday–Friday, 3-shift rotation 
Contract: Permanent

We’re supporting a precision engineering manufacturer in Glasgow that is hiring multiple CNC Machinists with 5-axis milling experience. You’ll be working on high-precision components for critical industries in a modern machining environment.

Shift patterns: 

Mon to Thurs, 6 am – 2 pm & Fri, 6 am – 1.30 pm
Mon to Thurs, 2 pm – 10 pm & Fri, 2 pm – 9.30 pm
Mon to Thurs, 10 pm – 6 am & Fri, 10 pm – 5.30 am (have the option to start on a Sunday night or Monday night)

CNC Miller Duties

• Set, program and operate 5-axis milling machines
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Carry out machine adjustments, checks and basic maintenance
• Inspect finished components to tight tolerances
• Work closely with engineering and production teams

CNC Miller Profile

• Proven experience in 5-axis CNC milling
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Ideally time served or experience served 
• Good communication and teamwork
