Location: Camberley, Surrey

Salary: £17-£18 per hour. 39 hour week

As part of our ongoing growth, they are looking for a skilled CNC Miller – Programmer/Setter/Operator (Mazak) to join the team.

  Job Purpose As a CNC Miller – Programmer/Setter/Operator (Mazak), you will be responsible for producing precision-engineered components in accordance with engineering specifications. You will program, set, and operate CNC milling machines using Mazatrol 640 control systems to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and quality in production.

  Key Responsibilities

• CNC Programming & Machining – Program, set up, and operate Mazak CNC machines to produce high-quality components.
• Mazatrol 640 Control System – Demonstrate expertise in programming and operating using this control system.
• Engineering Drawings – Read and interpret technical drawings to determine the best manufacturing approach.
• Tooling & Fixtures – Develop programs, select tooling, and set up fixtures for efficient and precise machining.
• Quality Assurance – Conduct first-off inspections and intermediate checks using gauges and measuring instruments to ensure components meet required tolerances.
• Process Optimization – Adjust and modify programs to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
• Workplace Organization – Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Continuous Improvement – Actively contribute to process improvements and promote a collaborative team environment.
• Compliance & Safety – Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
• Other Duties – Undertake any additional responsibilities assigned by supervisors or managers.

  Skills & Experience Required

• Strong experience in Mazatrol 640 programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines.
• Proven ability to produce accurate, high-quality components efficiently.
• Excellent understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing methodologies.
• Skilled in selecting appropriate tooling, fixtures, and production methods.
• Strong knowledge of precision measuring instruments and quality control processes.
• Ability to modify and optimize CNC programs for improved efficiency.
• Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
