CNC Turner  Package and Benefits for the CNC Turner: (must be authorised to work in the UK)

• £21-24 per hour
• The position is full-time and permanent, and an immediate start is available.
• Hours are Monday – Wednesday 4.30pm – 3.30am, Thursday 4.30pm – 1.30am.
• Holidays are 20 days + 8 Bank Holidays + Bonus holiday over the Christmas Period

Syntech Recruitment are partnered with this precision engineering business and are on the lookout for a skilled CNC Turner (must be able to program from engineering drawings) for their “late shift”. 

CNC Turner Requirements:

• Proven experience in programming, setting, and operating 2-axis turning machines.
• Ability to write new CNC programs long-hand at the machine with minimal supervision.
• Experience in editing prewritten programs, full machine setup including material, tooling, speeds, and feeds.
• Proficient in in-process inspection using measuring equipment.
• Capable of producing one-off, low to medium volume precision parts in a range of hard and soft metals.
• Excellent working knowledge of 2-axis CNC machines, cutting speeds and feeds, geometric tolerances.
• Solid understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and standards.
• Experience with Fanuc controls is advantageous.
• Strong work history within the manufacturing industry in a machine shop environment.
• Hands-on, quality-driven, positive, and self-motivated manner.
• Confident in working on parts up to Ø300mm x 3m in length, with provided lifting equipment. Hoist training will be provided.
