We currently have a superb opportunity for a Development Engineer to work for one of the UK's most respected manufacturing businesses based on the coast of Kent.
Purpose of the role:
To design, develop and deliver commercial product solutions whilst providing customer service excellence across product development delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
To manage product development activities from concept through to customer acceptance, including management and update of design models.

To project manage product development activities in a thorough and effective manner to ensure;

• • On time delivery
  • Projects are managed to budget

o To develop and maintain good working relationships with customers and suppliers

• • A smooth handover to Production.

To represent the company in product development meetings with customers both on and off site.

To expedite new developments and products; liaising where necessary with suppliers, development partners etc to resolve threats to the programme and/or pursue opportunities for improvement.

To support Quality in investigations, corrective actions, assessments and process improvements, where appropriate to new product developments.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Enthusiastic, pro active & driven
Relevant degree qualified
Good mechanical engineering skills

CAD experience, including 3D design tools; SolidEdge preferred

Project Management experience. MS Project preferred.
Ability to work alone or as a member of a small team
