Salary: £35k to £43k

Syntech Recruitment are searching for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a highly regarded and innovative Robotics and Automation specialist business in Farnborough, Hampshire.

Your daily duties as an Electrical Design Engineer will include:

• Designing, specifying, analysing and implementation of machine safety systems.
• Producing electrical control system designs for a variety of projects including special purpose machinery and robotic systems.
• Understanding project requirements and producing schematic diagrams, hook-up diagrams and build instructions using CAD for Production.
• Estimating material and manufacturing costs including creation of BOM's.
• Carry out feasibility studies for new products and technical innovations.

The successful Design Engineer will have the following attributes, skills, knowledge or experience:

• CAD experience (Solid works electrical advantageous)
• Experience of sensors, electro mechanical devices and actuators
• Control system design (circuit breakers, contactors, relays etc.)
• Testing, installing and verifying installations Knowledge of relevant standards (machinery directive etc.)
• Safety system design
• Experience of industrial robots and servo motors (bespoke machine design/build)
• Dedicated professional with Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree (Bachelors/Masters preferred, or equivalent considered) with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Desirable Experience:

• PLC programming
• Electronics design and analysis
• Pneumatic experience
