Component Finishing Technician

• £11.50 - £13.50
• 40 hrs base + premium O/T
• Day shift 8am - 5pm
• Location: Newbury

A World class manufacturer and supplier to the Motorsport and Automotive world are looking for a quality focussed technician that takes pride in their work and aims to achieve the perfect finish on every component.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Working to engineering drawing and set up sheets
• Processing components using a variety of techniques such as; deburring, cleaning, polishing and oiling
• To complete various surface finishing processes such as; Steam, Mass and Drag
• Performing pre-delivery processing and quality checks
• Laser etching, part marking
• Observing and adhering to health and safety rules

About you

The ideal candidate will have the following experience / background:

• You will have experience working within a Mechanical / Engineering / Automotive garage environment
• You would be used to handling and using a variety of tools ie. Pillar drills / grinders / lathes / polishers
• You will have a passion for the mechanical and an interest in automotive/motorsport industries
• You enjoy being part of various sized teams
• You are focussed and can appreciate the importance of attention to detail
• You have a can-do attitude and an interest in performing addition tasks
• You are capable of creative problem solving
