Gear Cutter / Hobber required for busy engineering firm in Hatfield, Hertfordshire

Tasks:

• Plan workload with Cell Leader
• Booking on and off work orders
• Completion of all quality and production routing documentation
• Produce programming and setting documentation when necessary
• Setting, programming and running of conventional/CNC machines to produce components to required specifications using manufacturing drawings, routings and machine setting sheets
• Self-Inspection of components
• Produce first-off components for inspection
• Maintain housekeeping standards and preventive maintenance requirements
• Training of others where necessary

Your Profile:

• Several years setting and operating Conventional and CNC Gear hobbers
• Working knowledge of Gleason/Barber Coleman/Sykes or Doimak machines
• Proficient with inspection and measuring techniques and tools
• Familiar with AS9100D Aerospace requirements
