Gear Cutter – Nights // Newbury // Up to £26ph inc shif

Are you an experienced Gear Cutter or Hobber with a passion for precision manufacturing? Join a well-established UK manufacturing business with a global reach, delivering innovative solutions to the automotive sector.

Location / Hours

Located in Newbury, this position offers a consistent night shift with a base of 40 hours per week, ensuring a stable and predictable schedule:

• Days: Monday to Thursday
• Hours: 7pm until 6am

As a Gear Cutter, your responsibilities will include:

• Setting and operating Gear Cutting / Hobbing machines.
• Booking on and off work orders.
• Self-inspecting components to ensure quality standards.
• Cleaning and deburring components for precision and presentation.

Gear Cutter Requirements

To excel in this role, you should have:

• Several years setting and operating conventional and CNC Gear Cutting machines.
• Ideally Hands-on experience with Pfauter / Gleason machines featuring Bosch/Siemens controls.
• Familiarity with Klingelberg bevel cutters and gear checkers (ideal but not essential).
• Proficiency in self-inspection and using measuring tools to ensure components meet tight tolerances.
