My client, a prestigious Engineering company based in Reading are currently looking for a skilled 5 axis Heidenhain programmer to join a small but skilled Machine Shop.

JOB PURPOSE:

Our client, renowned for their high-end machining capability are seeking a highly skilled Heidenhain programmer to work on one off and small batch work (1-10 off). You will be part of a highly skilled team of engineers with the opportunity to work on parts for the Motorsport, oil&gas, aerospace industry! The successful programmer will be working in their own mini cell, with a 3 & 5 axis Heidenhain machine and a Sonic spark erosion machine.

** The role is not suited to someone who is used to batch repeat work. **

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Machining of precision component's in stainless steel, brass and aluminium.
• Experience working on Spark Erosion machines.
• Ability to program on Heidenhain controls from Engineering Drawing.
• Ability to resolve queries and problems to best of knowledge before escalating up to next level ensuring minimum occurrence of errors and provide workable solutions.
• Responsible for adhering to Health and Safety rules and procedures.
• Conducting assigned tasks in a controlled and safe manner, paying particular respect to colleagues and equipment.

Essential Skills:

· Skilled Heidenhaim 5 axis programmer.
· Previous high precision machining work
· Confident ability to work on their own.
· Candidates with Spark Erosion experience would be a distinct advantage
