My client, a prestigious Engineering company based in Reading are currently looking for a skilled Manual Machinist to join an extremely well established business based near Virginia Water.
JOB PURPOSE:

Our client, renowned for their high end machining capability are seeking a highly skilled Manual machinist (Mills/Lathe's grinding) to work on one off and small batch work (1-10 off) you will be part of a highly skilled team of engineer's with the opportunity to work on parts for the Defence, oil&gas, aerospace industry! The successful manual machinist will be manufacturing hardened and ground parts for special purpose machinery as well as refurbishing and manufacturing new press tools.
**The role is not suited to someone who is used to batch repeat work.**
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Machining of precision component's in stainless steel, brass and aluminium
• Full knowledge of all workshop equipment
• Ability to resolve queries and problems to best of knowledge before escalating up to next level ensuring minimum occurrence of errors and provide workable solutions
• Responsible for adhering to Health and Safety rules and procedures

Essential Skills:

· Skilled manual machinist (Milling, Turning & Grinding)

· Previous high precision machining work

· manual J&S 540 grinders
