Production Technician

Hours of work: 40 per week (8am - 5pm Mon to Fri)
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Location: Newbury, West Berkshire

We at Syntech Recruitment are pleased to offer an opportunity for a Production Technician to join a highly regarded engineering business based in Newbury, West Berkshire.
You will be working alongside the metal finishing team, preparing metallic components for further treatments and processes.
The daily duties of a Production Technician include:

• Performing deburring, fettling, blasting, peening and degreasing tasks
• Basic machine operation
• Following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Masking up components
• Recording and tracking your work in the company software
• Undergoing training in heat treatment equipment and processes

The Profile of a successful Production Technician:

• Some experience with mechanical assembly
• Highly dextrous
• Familiarity with basic hand tools
• Prior work experience with SOPs and technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience with workshop machinery
