Mechanical Assembly Technician

Salary: £12.50- £14.50 p/h
Hours of work: 40 per week (8am - 5pm Monday to Friday)
Job Type: Permanent

We at Syntech Recruitment are pleased to offer an opportunity for a number of Mechanical Assembly Technicians to join a highly prestigious automotive / motorsport engineering business based in West Berkshire.
As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will be assembling complex sub-assemblies to a high level of accuracy and performing end of line testing.
The daily duties of a Mechanical Assembly Technician include:

• Using hand tools to assemble motorsport components
• Perform quality checks on your own work
• Following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Working to engineering diagrams / drawings
• Following works instructions
• Recording and tracking your work on the ERP software (Epicor)
• Follow safety regulations accurately
• Perform end of line testing

The Profile of a successful Mechanical Assembly Technician:

• Prior complex experience performing mechanical assembly of small parts
• Experience with using a variety of hand tools
• Experience within an automotive / motorsport environment (desirable)
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience with basic workshop machinery
• Has the ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings / diagrams
• An understanding of the importance of health and safety
• Good levels of dexterity
