Seeking an experienced Metallurgical Manager / Materials Engineering Manager
Tasks of a Metallurgy Department Manager:
Develop and roll out an effective Materials Development Strategy
Implement effective heat treatment procedures and processes
Assess non-conforming parts and investigate potential manufacturing issues
Evaluate areas for improvement within the department
Present reports in management meetings
Implement new testing strategies
Perform Non-Destructive testing including; Magnetic Particle Inspection and Nital Etch
Undertake Internal Auditing
Your Profile:
A minimum BEng or BSc in a Material Science or Metallurgy related degree
Knowledge of heat treatment processes and techniques particularly carburising on ferrous metals
Minimum 5 years of management experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
Previous internal auditing experience and understanding of IMDS
Experience in educating and transferring knowledge to a team
