Mould Technician

• Up to £25k
• 37.5 hours a week
• 24 days + BH
• Overtime available 1.3x (1.5x Saturday, 2x Sunday)
• Based close to Abingdon

Syntech are currently partnering with a prestigious composite business based in Oxfordshire, we are on the lookout for a talented Build / Mould technician (Moulding background would be ideal). This position would be great for someone either experienced in assembling moulded parts, good appreciation of detailed assembly or someone with a good level of basic understanding in workshop duties (maybe apprentice trained, B-TEC etc) looking to move into a supportive environment to learn some new skills.
Mould / Build Technician Duties:

• Assist in the assembly and finish of moulded parts
• Adopting good workmanship standards, paying particular attention to quality.
• Assist in the preparation of mouldings in support of the production schedule.

• Assist in the preparation and bonding of boats.
• Assist in the cutting, grinding and flow coating of bonded boats.
• Assist in other areas of the manufacturing process as direct by your line supervisor.
• Assist in the production of sub-assemblies as and when required.

Build Technician profile:

• Qualified by experience (2 years plus), Apprentice trained toolroom engineer OR Engineering BTEC Level qualification.
• Must be practically minded and able to use conventional workshop power and hand tools.
• Self-starter with a willingness to learn
• Excellent communicator with an exceptional eye for detail and quality
