Ops Director

• Salary Negotiable - expect in the region of €75-95k DOE

• Aerospace & Medical device SME based out of Cork, Rep of Ireland

Syntech Recruitment are searching for an experience Ops Manager for our growing Aerospace SME client based out of Cork. Reporting directly to the directors, the Ops Manager will be in charge of running the 40+ staff strong facility, working with operators to ensure production efficiency and leading/developing LEAN and Continuous Improvement practices.

Ops Manager Responsibilities:

• To be a pro-active member of the management team with a strong focus on efficiency, profitability, Manage all site production - including purchasing, quality, design, maintenance, stores and machine shop
• Develop and manage the apprentice training program
• Lead and develop lean manufacturing practices throughout site
• Encourage a culture of Continuous Improvement
• Create and maintain a weekly production schedule
• Ensure ISO9000/AS9100 and ISOs13485 standards are always maintained
• Assist with the development and implementation of FDA plant Registration
• Develop and implement a preventative and corrective maintenance plan for machinery
• Manage facility layout and change as per best lean manufacturing

Ops Manager Background

• Proven experience working inside a SME machine shop that works in the Aerospace / Automotive / Oil and Gas industries
• Experience building a company from 50+ employees to 100+ as our client has an ambitious growth plan to increase headcount to 100+ inside the next 2 years
• Strong knowledge around ISO and AS accreditation and standards
• Strong people management skills
