Production Engineer

Production Engineer / 5 min drive, 20 min walk from Wokingham Centre / Up to £50k
Hours: Mon – Fri, 8am to 5pm, 45hrs per week

Syntech Recruitment are searching for a Production Engineer for our sub-contract client based out near Wokingham. This role will involve daily CAM programming using Hypermill as well as some production planning and production engineering duties.

Production Engineer Duties

• Create CAD/CAM programs using Hypermill software
• Run first offs on 3,4 and 5 axis CNC Milling machines before passing to operators to complete batchwork
• Self inspection of first offs as required
• Helping assist with production planning schedule for the shop floor
• Work with the management team to make business critical decisions

Production Engineer Profile

• Proven experience programming 3,4,5 axis CNC milling machines using CAD/CAM software. Our client uses Hypermill but proven experience with any package will be considered.
• Experience working within precision engineering industries (Automotive, Motorsport, Aerospace etc)
• Able to set and operate 3,4,5 axis CNC milling machines as required (Mazak ideally but any machinery is considered)
• Experience of leading a small team of CNC Machinists
• Keen attitude and looking to progress quickly.
