Production Supervisor

• Days (some flexibility will be required)

Production Supervisor required to be a pro-active member of the management team for this precision engineering business in Cork, ROI

Role & Responsibilities:

• Management of all Production Planning, Purchasing, Maintenance, Stores and Shop Floor Employees
• Develop and manage the Apprentice Training Programme
• Lead and develop Lean Manufacturing best practices
• Instil and encourage a culture of Continuous Improvement
• Create and maintain a rolling Weekly Production Plan
• Organise shift patterns and overtime
• Compile weekly production performance/profitability data and review weekly with operatives and management
• Manage Raw Material, Finished Goods, WIP and Shipping/Receiving
• Manage purchase of Raw Materials and Consumables
• Ensure ISO9000/AS9100 and SC21 Standards are maintained
• Assist with the development and implementation of ISO13485 and FDA plant registration
• Develop and implement a Preventative and Corrective Maintenance Plan for all production machines
• Manage facility layout, location of machines, etc. per best Lean Manufacturing practice
• Advise on and recommend new/upgrades in machinery and equipment to support best Lean Manufacturing practice

Candidate Profile:

• Strong track record in a similar position
• An understanding of SC21 Silver Status based on on-time delivery performance
• Solid understanding of Lean principles
