Mechanical Inspectors - Aerospace
Up to £19p/h (read below)

Syntech recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of an aerospace manufacturing giant based near Gerrards Cross (SL9).
There is an immediate need for 3 mechanical inspectors for either a standard day shift or a double-day shift pattern.

It is essential that applicants are familiar with using a variety of hand-held metrology tools for inspection including; verniers, calipers, micrometers, metrology gauges etc.

Shift Patterns Available:

• Standard Day Shift - £28,000 to £29,000 starting salary

37.5 hour week -

• • Days

Monday - Thursday 8am to 5pm (30 min break)
Friday 8am - 12noon (30 min break)

• Double Day Shift - £34,000 to £35,000 starting salary

35.5 hour week -

• • Earlies (Week One)

Monday - Thursday 6am - 2pm (30 min break)
Friday 6am - 12noon (30 min break)

• • Lates (Week Two)

Monday - Thursday 1:45pm - 10pm (30 min break)
Friday 11:45am - 4:15pm

Essential Knowledge / Experience / Skills

• Experience of using inspection tools and metrology equipment
• General work background in manufacturing / engineering
• Working knowledge of GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing)
• Numeracy and geometry skills
• High attention to detail for inspection of machined components
• Basic PC (Microsoft Office)
• Broad experience of reading and interpreting engineering drawings

Desirable Knowledge / Experience / Skills

• Knowledge of 5s
• Working knowledge of CMM (Mitutoyo ideally)
• Use of SAP
• Engineering apprenticeship preferred
