Quality Manager
€45-50k

8-5 Monday to Friday (can vary slightly during peak seasons throughout the year)

Syntech are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join a leading bespoke food processing business based in County Monaghan, Ireland. The successful Quality Manager will have experience of food safety requirements and have knowledge of HACCP along with some good technical knowledge. Part of your daily job will be to drive quality and hygiene in line with regulatory standards across the business. Ideally degree educated or have the relevant qualifications in science/food technology.
Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update the company's Quality system in line with legal, BRC, MPQAS Bord Bia, RSPCA and customer standards/ requirements and internal and external audits.
• Conduct investigations of issues and customer complaints to identify corrective and preventive actions and root cause analysis.
• Ensuring all quality controls are strictly adhered to including raw materials, process flow, finished products, materials and packaging, and hygiene and environmental factors.
• Implementation of quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives within the quality function.
• Monitor hygiene practices throughout the site and packhouse and continually improve on this.
• Train and manage quality control personnel.
• Support and lead customer visits, internal and external audits.
• Lead the improvement of product quality.
• Maintain and manage brand and product integrity.
• Ensure new products are correctly setup on production system and help develop production software.
• Involvement in ongoing and new projects as needed.
• Point of contact between customers to in relation to customer specification.
• Liaising with DAFM officials.

Knowledge and skills:

HACCP
Auditing
Relevant regulatory experience
Demonstrable experience leading team(s) and processes

Education:
Degree educated ideally (relevant industry knowledge will also be considered)
