Research and Development Engineer

£35k - £45k per annum
Location: Berkshire

We are looking to expand an existing R&D department by adding an additional Research and Development Engineer to a highly talented team in a laboratory environment.

Tasks of an R&D Engineer:

• Producing test specifications with in-house design engineers
• Managing development projects including (Tooling design, rig testing, test design, testing documentation)
• Conducting first build validation tests on new products
• Identify data logging requirements and the specific sensors necessary for the scenario
• Running test rigs and analysing test data using data logging software
• Produce clear and detailed test reports

The profile of an R&D Engineer:

• A minimum 2.1 Bachelors in an engineering related discipline
• Strong understanding of data-logging concepts
• A strong knowledge of mechanical systems in vehicles (engine, transmission, powertrain etc)
• Strong teamwork, communication, organisation, planning and time-management skills
• It is essential that you can read, understand and interpret complex engineering drawings
• Strong IT skills including CAD (Siemens NX ideally)
