Job Description

Syntech Recruitment are currently working with a long standing client for this Sales Manager vacancy. This is an excellent opportunity
to join a group of companies, drive sales and brand awareness and improve on operations throughout the business.

You will be reporting directly into the Commercial Director and covering the Southern Region.

Duties and Responsibilities 
 

  • Developing and implementing strategic sales plans that expand a company’s customer base and solidify its presence.
  • Achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing sales teams and by assessing the teams’ strengths and weaknesses.
  • Establishing productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Building and promoting healthy, long-lasting customer relations by partnering with them.
  • Developing and implementing new sales initiatives, strategies, and programmes to capture key demographics.
  • Promoting the company’s existing brands and introducing new products to the market.
  • Researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans, understanding customer requirements, and suggesting system improvements to achieve company’s marketing goals.
  • Developing & implementing new sales plans and advertising.
  • Maintaining relationships with important customers & suppliers by making regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new opportunities.
  • Staying current in the industry by attending educational opportunities, conferences, and workshops, reading publications, and maintaining personal and professional networks.
  • Increasing sales volume and marketing performance for the company.
  • Increasing revenue by consulting on best practice and development of new partner strategies.
  • Monitoring and analysing performance of areas of the business to establish profit improvements and identifying operational improvements.
  • Plan and carry out effective research and to see to identify sales opportunities and use lead referrals to maximize potential business.
  • Ensuring delivery of revenue to meet and exceed targets.
  • Liaising & working closely with customer service team in ensuring timely delivery of customer quotations.
  • Providing Commercial Director with KPI and Sales reports.
  • Comply with company H&S guidelines.

About you

  • You will have good working knowledge of ISO 17025, calibration and testing
  • Familiar with marketing tools including Hubspot and appointment making from Toucan Telesales
  • Sales reports using a dashboard and CRM
  • Ideally from a Metrology/Testing background
  • Good industry customer related knowledge
  • Have an existing network to work from
  • Able to build strong client relationships
  • Target driven
