Senior Metallurgical Engineer
Salary: £35k to £45k
Location: West Berkshire
Hours: 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday
Holidays: 23 days plus public holidays

Seeking an experienced Metallurgical Engineer / Materials Engineer

Tasks of a Senior Metallurgical Engineer:

• Assist is development of an effective Materials Development Strategy
• To research heat treatment methods
• Educate and train heat treatment technicians
• Develop and document heat treatment procedures and processes
• Assess non-conforming parts and investigate potential manufacturing issues
• Perform Metallurgical first article inspections
• Analyse and report upon test data
• Identify areas where additional testing is necessary and produce metallurgical test specifications
• Perform Non-Destructive testing including; Magnetic Particle Inspection and Nital Etch
• Undertake Internal Auditing

Your Profile:

• A minimum BEng or BSc in a Material Science or Metallurgy related degree
• Knowledge of heat treatment processes
• Minimum 2 years within an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Previous internal auditing experience and understanding of IMDS
