Test Quality Assurance - Smart Appliances Outside IR35 £500 per day September / October start Syntech Recruitment are delighted to bring to market an exciting Test Quality Assurance role. This position is due to commence in September / October 2022 and interviews are due to take place towards the latter stages of August. The position is for a total of 22 months, and we will require someone for anywhere between 12-15 days per month. The position would fall outside of IR35. Project delivery will be, in the main, managed and delivered on a remote basis with the occasional requirement to attend technical, testing and project meetings in London or the north-west of England. The capability to work on a remote basis efficiently and successfully, within a dynamic project management environment, is essential. Demonstration of working within similar projects and/or programmes will be an important criterion of successful candidates. Experience and efficient of use of MS Office and MS Teams is essential as is being available for occasional travel (with costs recovered) as noted above. Supporting - especially the Test Scheme Development Lead - development of conformance & performance schemes, test specifications, plans and processes focusing on quality assurance
Assurance of test specifications, plans and processes
Assurance of test execution and technical change control
Monitoring the conformance of test outputs and results, and ultimate test output approval
Implementing test assurance, processes, monitoring processes and test tooling
Quality assurance of testing and outputs
Technical Competences (in addition to general role requirements set out above):
Delivery and oversight of technical quality assurance
Development and utilisation of conformity assessment, interoperability and technical performance schemes
Management of technical change and associated assurance
Design and implementation of test requirements, specifications, plans and scripts
Understanding of smart appliances, devices and GB smart metering
Laboratory management, accredited services, traceability and test assurance
Test Quality Assurance Lead experience desired: Please describe:
Projects where you have developed conformance testing and/or performance testing schemes. Set out how your role contributed to the project, what the outcome was and what learnings from this that you would apply to this role
The steps you would apply to support the development of the conformance testing and/or performance testing schemes to ensure that deliverables are successfully met to time and quality expectations
Your knowledge of PAS 1878 and 1879 - please include any input you may have had into the PAS development process and/or experience of interpreting the relevant requirements for real-life Energy Smart Appliances (ESAs) and/or DSR systems
Your experience of product assurance at functional, interoperability and conformity assessment parameters including hands-on experience of performance assessment of products against technology standards such as Open ADR, ZigBee, Bluetooth and other IEEE 802 standards
Your hands on experience of implementing quality assurance into the testing environment to ensure the integrity of testing and that outcomes are sufficiently assured
