Workshop supervisor

Monday-Friday (normal days)

Syntech are looking for an experienced and talented Workshop supervisor to work for our leading bespoke manufacturing client based in Dublin. The successful workshop supervisor will have a background and understanding in manufacturing practices ideally within a composite / joinery business and have experience of leading teams and ensuring workflow through the factory. Workshop Supervisor skills & experiences:
Ensuring smooth workflow of jobs from start to finish throughout the workshop and producing reports on a weekly basis at management meeting

Working daily with other members of the team including contracts managers to go through project progresses to ensure on time delivery.

Managing the completion of fabrication projects

Working with other members of management to assist in job costing, material ordering and hours needed to complete each project.

Managing the workshop workload for each employee and allocating resources to projects as necessary.

Managing the maintenance of the workshop machinery, equipment, tools, extract systems and hand tools ensuring all are regularly tested as required.

Overseeing all Health and Safety requirements and the recruitment of staff for the workshop.

Ensure the apprenticeship programme is running effectively

Workshop supervisor knowledge required:

• Demonstrable experience of running a workshop / production department

• Ideally have some Joinery knowledge (foreman/joiner/carpentry etc)

• ISO/LEAN/Fabrication experience
