X-Ray Radiographer Level 2

  • Salary up to £35k
  • Half day finish on a Friday

We currently have an immediate position available to join this world class aerospace associated company based in Oxfordshire. Working in the NDT department, you will carry out:

Veeco (Leak Testing) - Measuring the rate of escapement of helium from cartridges using a mass spectrometer to agreed test limits. Part Marking - Marking of relevant production and test data onto cartridges. X-Ray - Shooting, viewing and interpretation of digital x-ray images of assembled cartridge and rocket motors.

The Health and Safety System
Provide input and conform to, Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, Explosive Safety, Audits and Procedures.

Training/ Skills and Competence
To learn/ maintain/ help document skills and competence, to an agreed plan as agreed by the cell leader.

Continuous Improvement.
Create and drive a culture of continuous improvement using the 5S process. Working to ensure that NDT and X-Ray have all the correct tools and technologies to do the job.

Working with others
Chalgrove Team Leader, PED, QA/ QC, Production Control, Stores and Denham. In meetings and in day to day activity. Solving problems through co-ordination and technical knowledge.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in similar NDT roles.
  • Reading and understanding Engineering drawings, route cards and relevant documentation.


Understanding and Interpretation of relevant test ATP's, QAI and Relevant x-ray techniques as
documented by the level 3

A valid Level 2 Radiographer ASNT Certification would be desirable
