Logistics Operative

Starting Salary: £26,500
Lots of overtime available paid at 1.5x pay – £20.50 per hour.

Location: Near Uxbridge (10 min drive) 
Hours of work: 37 hours a week. 8am – 5pm Mon to Thurs & 8am – 12 noon Friday
Benefits: Onsite Parking, 9% Company Paid Pension Scheme, 25 Days Holiday, Life Assurance, 1.5X Overtime Pay.

Logistics Operative needed to join a world leading aerospace engineering and manufacturing business based near Uxbridge.
As a Logistics Operative you will be assisting the with precise picking and kitting, also working in goods out, accurately packing parts for dispatch.

The daily duties of a Logistics Operative include:

• Packing and labelling parts
• Prepare parts for shipping
• Checking batch numbers, volume and part descriptions on in-house computer system
• Ensure parts are packaged with correct packaging material according to instructions
• Picking and issuing material, goods and stock to other internal departments
• Moving goods throughout the facility using counterbalance forklifts, electric pallet stacker and scissor lifts (Training provided)
• Cutting material to size using a saw machine (Training provided)

The profile of a successful Logistics Operative:

• Prior experience with Picking and Packing in a manufacturing environment.
• Computer literate, confident with Word and Excel
• Ability to understand and follow instructions effectively
• A desire to learn additional skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Has the drive to perform a task to completion
