Hours: Monday to Friday, day shift

Assembly & Test Technician Duties:

• Assembling precision R&D products and certified flight hardware
• Performing advanced testing (functional, electrical, vibration, shock, thermal vacuum (TVAC), RF)
• Writing and developing Manufacturing Assembly Procedures (MAPs) and Test Procedures
• Inspecting machined parts using precision metrology equipment
• Identifying and implementing process improvements for better efficiency and quality
• Participating in internal and customer milestone reviews
• Visiting suppliers/subcontractors to ensure quality compliance (as required)

What we’re looking for:

Essential skills and experience:

• Strong background in precision assembly of high-value components
• Skilled in using precision metrology equipment
• Experience in functional, electrical bonding, isolation, vibration, shock, and thermal vacuum testing
• Ability to interpret technical engineering drawings and specifications
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
• Proven ability to write and implement test and assembly procedures
• Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach
• Flexible attitude towards working hours (overtime/weekend work where required)

Desirable:

• Experience within the space sector or highly regulated environments
• Apprenticeship or formal mechanical engineering training
• Understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes and precision components
