Control System Engineer – Automation

Salary: Up to €60,000 base
Location: County Cork, Ireland  
Hours: Monday to Friday (normal dayshift hours)
Start Date: ASAP
Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Control System Engineer Duties:

    • Lead the design and amendment of control system software (PLC, HMI/SCADA).
    • Oversee programming for PLCs (Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi) and SCADA systems (Wonderware, Iconics).
    • Execute the complete project life cycle from conception through on-site commissioning, ensuring thorough planning, design, implementation, and final delivery.
    • Manage client meetings, system surveys, software programming, and comprehensive project documentation to ensure technical compliance and quality standards.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • On-Site Commissioning:
    • Travel to the UK for training and on-site commissioning, overseeing system rollouts and ensuring successful project delivery.

 Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in automation and control systems
  • Degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related qualifications.
  • In-depth knowledge of PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi) and SCADA systems (Wonderware, Schneider).
  • Full, clean driving licence.
  • Eligibility to work in the Ireland.
