Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am to 12pm

Syntech Recruitment are working with a global engineering firm recognised for innovation, excellence, and reliability. We’re seeking a Mechanical Technician to support the final build of safety-critical aerospace components in a clean, well-organised environment.

Mechanical Technician duties:

• Building mechanical sub-assemblies such as seat pans, guide rails, and survival kits to spec
• Working from detailed engineering drawings and build instructions
• Conducting self-inspection and stage certification of completed work
• Using SAP to log parts, track jobs, and update work progress
• Handling tools, gauges, and components with precision and care
• Supporting lean initiatives and maintaining a clean, safe working area

Mechanical Technician Profile:

• Previous mechanical assembly or technician experience in a manufacturing setting
• Competent using basic hand tools and torque equipment
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings
• Comfortable using computers – SAP or Excel knowledge is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical work ethic
• Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in core subjects
