NDT Inspector

Location: CV30 Area
Hourly Rate: £21.50 per hour + holiday pay
Hours: Monday to Thursday; 9pm – 7am
Contract Length: 6-month contract
Contract Type: LTD or Umbrella (inside IR35)

Syntech Recruitment is proud to partner with a forward-thinking manufacturer to find a talented NDT Inspector with experience in Laser Crack Detection (LCT) to join a precision engineering team on night shifts. You’ll play a key role in identifying microscopic surface defects and ensuring the structural integrity of critical transmission components.

NDT Inspector Responsibilities:

• Operate Laser Crack Detection equipment to identify fatigue, cracks, and surface flaws.
• Work to strict inspection and reporting standards for aerospace/motorsport-grade components.
• Interpret technical drawings and route cards to understand inspection requirements.
• Record results with accuracy and maintain full traceability.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and ensure right-first-time inspection processes.

• CMM Inspection (experience with Mitutoyo software highly desirable)
• Document inspection results clearly and consistently

 
NDT Inspector Experience:

• Experience as an NDT Inspector, ideally with Laser Crack Detection (LCT).
• Background in precision engineering, aerospace, or motorsport.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and GD&T.
• Detail-focused with strong reporting discipline.
• Flexible, proactive, and confident working night shifts.
