Technical Sales Manager

Location: Near Evesham
Salary: Circa £60,000 (DOE)
Hybrid: c.2 days office / 3 days WFH (flexible around business needs)
Travel: UK travel with occasional EU trips

We’re supporting a long-established engineering and manufacturing business near Evesham that specialises in large-scale storage and distribution systems, engineered fuel infrastructure, and technology-enabled environmental solutions. With over five decades of industry experience and ongoing investment into advanced manufacturing and digital technology, they are entering an exciting new growth phase — and are looking for a proven Technical Sales Manager to drive this forward.

This role sits at the centre of their engineered product offering, bringing together manufacturing, design, installation, and sustainability-focused lifecycle services. You will take the lead on developing engineered and technology-enhanced product sales, maintaining key customer relationships, and shaping commercial strategy in line with market opportunities.

You will also receive ongoing support and knowledge transfer from a senior technical leader to ensure continuity as you step into a key position within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Grow sales of engineered storage systems and integrated fuel infrastructure solutions.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities across the UK and selected EU markets.
  • Build, manage, and strengthen commercial and technical relationships with key customers.
  • Lead on proposals, quotations, tenders, and technical presentations.
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and design teams to deliver client-focused solutions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with manufacturing and installation teams to provide full turnkey solutions.
  • Partner with design and technology specialists to incorporate digital monitoring, automation, and data-led enhancements.
  • Support the lifecycle offer, from design and build through to end-of-life disposal and repurposing.
  • Contribute to innovation projects combining engineering excellence with emerging technologies.

Commercial Leadership

  • Develop structured account plans and pipeline forecasts.
  • Provide accurate reports and commercial insights to support business planning.
  • Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions, and client meetings.

About You
You are a commercially driven technical professional who understands engineered products and thrives in a solution-focused environment.

Essential Experience

  • Proven track record in technical or engineered product sales (e.g., storage systems, fuel systems, industrial or infrastructure solutions).
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, or system design.
  • Comfortable working with multi-disciplinary teams across engineering and technology.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex solutions to clients at all levels.
  • Strong negotiation, commercial awareness, and presentation skills.
