Assembly Operative (Bonding & Adhesives)

Location: Uxbridge
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: 37 hours per week

Assembly Operative Duties

Working as part of a specialist assembly team, you’ll carry out a variety of bonding and adhesive-based operations on components used in high-integrity mechanical systems.

• Assembling precision components from kitted parts
• Masking components for aluminium oxide blasting
• Applying adhesives (e.g. Araldite) and carrying out oven curing
• Preparing parts for inspection, including cleaning and finishing
• Following detailed work instructions and engineering drawings
• Using gauges and simple test equipment for inspection support
• Completing records and reporting any non-conformances
• Supporting lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives

Assembly Operative Profile

• Previous experience in assembly, bonding, or a similar production role
• Hands-on skills using tools, adhesives, and basic measuring equipment
• Familiarity with engineering drawings and manufacturing processes
• Awareness of health & safety and quality standards
• Team-focused with a proactive, positive attitude
• Comfortable using basic computer systems (SAP experience beneficial)
