CNC Operator / Gerrards Cross / £44,500 (inc shift)

Are you an experienced CNC Operator? You could be progressing your career at a world class and very successful Manufacturing company who have been awarded multiple queens awards and provide a range of complex safety equipment for the Aerospace / Defence markets.

Based in a busy assembly department, you will be assembling aerospace components to a high standard of quality.

Location / Hours:

You’ll be based close to Gerrards Cross; you’ll need to be able to drive there or be on close public transport links. Free parking available.

Early Shift: 6:00am – 4pm
Late Shift: 12:00pm – 10pm

You will only work 177 days of the year
A late shift is not followed the next day by an early shift
On average 25 weekends are worked per year
An employee will work both shifts

Requirements:

• Set and operate multi-axis CNC machines (Bridgeport, Hurco and Protrack)
• Edit programs at the machine
• Carry out basic maintenance on machines and tools
• Produce high quality low batch components from drawings
• Self-inspection of machined parts
• NO OFFLINE PROGRAMMING
• Several years CNC Machining experience
• Conversant with setting & operating CNC Mills & Lathe’s
• Ability to confidently set and operate CNC Mills & Lathe’s
• Proven Self inspection skills
• Deburring

Candidates that can demonstrate the following knowledge alongside the machining capabilities would be at a distinct advantage.
**Understanding 5’s, Continuous improvement, Kanban also CMM inspection knowledge**

Salary & benefits:

As a CNC Operator, you will earn a salary of £43,500 (including shift allowance) plus benefits including:
