CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator

Location: Near Wokingham
Hours: 8am – 3:30pm Monday – Friday, 37.5hrs per week but overtime available daily at 1.5x basic rate
Salary: Up to £20ph basic rate

Position Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled CNC 5 Axis Programmer / Setter / Operator to join our client on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating 5 axis Mazak mills, utilising Hypermill software for offline programming, and designing bespoke tooling to meet project requirements.
Key Responsibilities

• Set, operate, and program 5 axis Mazak mills.
• Utilise Hypermill software for offline programming.
• Design bespoke tooling using best practice methods.
• Collaborate within a team of skilled machinists or independently as needed.
• Adhere to in-house and customer-based procedures and quality standards.

Your Skills

• Experience programming on CNC Machines, ideally with Hypermill but other packages considered
• 5 Axis milling experience is ideal
• Knowledge of Mazatrol programming language (beneficial).
• Strong knowledge of work holding, tool selection, speed & feeds, quality awareness, and time management.
• Experience with machining Aluminium Casting (advantageous).
• Apprentice trained (academically) or time served of at least 5 years.
