CNC Programmer (Aerospace / 5-Axis)

Location: Lurgan, Northern Ireland
Hours:

Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00
Friday: 07:00 – 12:00

Syntech Recruitment are working with a high-precision manufacturing business based close to Lurgan to appoint a CNC Programmer specialising in complex aerospace components.

CNC Programmer Responsibilities

Offline CNC programming for 3, 4 and 5-axis machining centres using CAM software
Develop and optimise machining strategies across materials including aluminium and titanium
Select and implement efficient tooling packages for each component
Design and develop fixtures and workholding solutions
Liaise with external programming subcontractors where required

CNC Programmer Requirements

Experience in offline CNC programming using CAM software (e.g. Mastercam or similar)
Strong understanding of multi-axis machining (3, 4 and 5-axis)
Background in aerospace or high-precision engineering environments
Experience machining materials such as aluminium and titanium
Ability to develop and improve manufacturing processes and efficiency
Understanding of controls (Siemens, Fanuc, Heidenhain – desirable)
