Finishing Operative – Anodising

Are you an experienced Surface Treatment Technician/Anodiser/Plater looking to advance your career? You will be responsible for the masking, bead blasting, and surface preparation of small, precisely manufactured components.

Location / Hours:

You will be based near Gerrards Cross, accessible by car or close public transport links, with free parking available.

• Hours: Week One 6am – 2pm and Week Two 1:45pm – 10pm
• Overtime: Available daily and is paid at time and a half.

Candidates from a surface treatment background (plating, anodising, jigging, etc) are urged to apply!

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate barrel tumbling and vibratory finishing equipment.
• Prepare metallic surfaces for further processing, including anodising and passivation.
• Mask components to ensure critical features are protected.
• Operate anodising finishing equipment, both manual and automated.
• Prepare components for finishing processes (e.g., bunging, masking, jigging).
• Inspect parts to ensure quality standards are met.
• Pack parts for internal transport and storage.
• Interpret part numbers, drawing issue numbers, process specifications, and finishes.
• Utilize basic measuring equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Understand health and safety and COSHH regulations related to hazardous substances.
• Have a basic manufacturing/engineering background.
