Generator Engineer

Hours: Monday to Friday, plus overtime and on-call as required

We are working with a specialist premium equipment supplier to recruit a Diesel Mechanic with generator experience. Based across depot and customer sites in Dublin, this role focuses on the service, diagnosis and repair of diesel engines and generators, keeping critical power equipment reliable and available.

Diesel Mechanic Duties

• Service, maintain and repair diesel engines and generators
• Carry out fault diagnosis across mechanical, fuel, electrical and control systems
• Complete planned servicing, inspections and breakdown response on site and at depot
• Carry out load testing and commissioning of generator sets
• Complete accurate service and maintenance documentation
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area
• Work safely and in line with all health and safety procedures

Diesel Mechanic Requirements

• Qualified diesel mechanic, heavy vehicle or plant mechanic background
• Experience with diesel engines; generator (genset) experience an advantage
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability
• Able to work independently and respond to breakdowns
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel to sites
