Mechanical Inspector 

Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 per annum
Location: Near Uxbridge (commutable from Denham, Slough, Watford & surrounding areas)
Hours: 37 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 17:00, Friday 08:00 to 12:00
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP

We’re hiring for a highly capable Mechanical Inspector to join a market-leading aerospace engineering business near Uxbridge. You’ll be inspecting components used in life-critical applications and working to exacting aerospace and defence standards.

Mechanical Inspector Duties

• Carrying out mechanical and visual inspection of precision components
• Using hand tools like micrometres, verniers, and height gauges
• Interpreting complex engineering drawings (including GD&T)
• Documenting non-conformances and logging results via SAP
• Ensuring tools and gauges are correctly calibrated and maintained
• Supporting 5S and lean manufacturing activities

What We’re Looking For

• Solid mechanical inspection experience within aerospace, defence, or high-spec engineering
• Confident using manual inspection tools to tight tolerances
• Familiar with GD&T and technical drawing interpretation
• Ideally experienced with SAP and quality documentation (AS9102/FAIRs)
• A self-sufficient, detail-focused team player
