Production Planner
Syntech Recruitment are currently working with a long standing client that are recruiting for a Production Planner
to join their expanded team. You will be responsible for maintaining detailed production schedules based on sales forecasts,
customer orders and inventory levels. This is an exciting time to be joining this well established company and really develop

Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels.
- Monitor production progress and make adjustments to schedules as necessary to address delays or issues.
- Coordinate with the production and maintenance team to ensure that resources (e.g., labour, materials, equipment) are available and allocated efficiently and reflected in the APS tool.
- Identify potential capacity constraints and work with relevant departments to develop contingency plans.
- Run MRP and APS tools to load works orders based on demand.
- Question and review batch and lot sizes to ensure production qty’s are optimised.
- Monitor the schedule daily and adjust as needed to address changes in demand, material availability, and production capacity.
- Share any unpreventable delays or risks with relevant stakeholders.
- Share the departmental functions of production progressing and ERP maintenance.
- Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and other process improvement projects.
- Act as a liaison between production, purchasing, sales, and logistics teams to ensure alignment on production priorities and timelines.

About you
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement
- Manufacturing machinery and tool experience
- Good communication skills
- Previously used MES/APS/MRP Software in a manufacturing environment
- Good PC Skills, MS Excel
- HNC or equivalent in Engineering related qualification
- 5 years plus in a fast paced engineering planning role
