Quality Inspector
Syntech Recruitment are currently partnering with a fantastic business that are based around the Bordon area. The successful QC Inspector will have demonstrable experience within first off inspection and batch inspection experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- ISO Compliance and Quality Standards:
- Understand and adhere to the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.
- Ensure all quality inspection processes are in line with established quality standards and procedures.
- Inspection Duties:
- Conduct “first off” inspections to efficiently release products for production.
- Perform “QC Batch Visual Inspection” and “QC Batch Dimensional Inspection” to ensure products are released efficiently to Packing & Dispatch.
- Provide inspection support for ‘at risk’ processes to maintain high quality standards.
- Process Improvement:
- Assist in the development and application of statistical techniques for process control and continuous improvement.
- Identify and recommend improvements to production processes to enhance quality control and reduce defects.
- Dimensional Reporting:
- Support line managers in producing dimensional reports for internal and external customers as necessary.
- Operation and Maintenance of Machinery:
- Operate secondary machinery such as cryogenic deflash machines and laser machines while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on secondary machinery to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of machine operations, including output and any issues encountered.
- Manage and complete production paperwork in accordance with company policies and quality system requirements.
- Health & Safety:
- Ensure the safe use of hand-tools, power-tools, and automated machines in line with all Health & Safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, observing all health and safety guidelines.
- Lean and Continuous Improvement:
- Work closely with other departments to implement best practice “LEAN” techniques.
- Investigate ways to improve productivity and flexibility while reducing rejects through coaching and training.
- Team Collaboration and Communication:
- Promote excellent working relationships with colleagues, customers, partners, and market channels.
- Maintain effective communication across all levels of the business, facilitating a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015 requirements and quality management systems.
- Proficiency in conducting visual and dimensional inspections.
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality improvement techniques.
- Ability to operate and maintain secondary operation machinery safely and effectively.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- Strong analytical skills to identify process improvements and recommend effective solutions.
- Capability to perform detailed inspections and maintain accurate records.
- Communication and Teamwork:
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Experience:
- Prior experience in a QC inspection role within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with quality control in rubber mouldings, plastics, or similar industries is preferred.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
