Toolroom Supervisor

Are you an experienced Toolroom Supervisor looking for your next challenge? Syntech Recruitment is seeking a talented and motivated individual to oversee our toolroom operations. If you have a strong background in toolmaking, CNC operations, and team leadership, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the time, attendance, and wellbeing of all toolroom personnel.
• Supervise all toolroom staff, including setting performance objectives and monitoring performance.
• Control the daily workflow and job assignments for toolmakers and machinists.
• Ensure all tooling jobs are on track and completed within agreed timescales.
• Oversee the TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) schedule.
• Quote internal tooling and development jobs.
• Lead and assist in toolroom improvement activities.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Liaise with mould shop staff and managers to coordinate activities.
• Support all engineering departments as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all departmental working procedures by all toolroom staff.
• Assist in controlling the toolroom budget.
• Manage the ordering and receiving of supplier parts.
• Hold and attend meetings related to tooling or development issues.
• Uphold and ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.
• Comply with the Health & Safety Policy and observe all safety rules to ensure personal and team safety.
• Adopt and comply with the Cando programme regarding the organization of the work environment.

Education/Training:

• Full apprenticeship or time served as a Toolmaker.
• HNC (or higher) in Engineering.

Experience:

• Previous supervisory experience.
• Comprehensive toolmaking and development skills.

Knowledge:

• Toolmaking processes.
• CNC operations.
• Moulding processes.

Skills/Abilities:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.

Personality:

• Team player.
• Resilient.
• Positive attitude.
