Tower Crane Engineer

Hours: Monday to Friday, plus overtime and on-call as required

We are working with a specialist lifting equipment provider to recruit a Tower Crane Engineer with a strong electrical background. Based in Dublin with travel to sites as required, this field service role focuses on the installation, commissioning, fault-finding and maintenance of tower cranes and construction hoists.

Tower Crane Engineer Duties

• Carry out electrical fault-finding, diagnosis and repair on tower cranes and construction hoists
• Commission electrical and control systems, including limit switches and anti-collision systems
• Calibrate limit switches and load cells and complete load testing to manufacturer specifications
• Support erection, climbing and dismantling operations on site
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance to manufacturer schedules
• Diagnose electrical, control and PLC faults and return equipment to service
• Provide technical support to site teams and clients
• Complete accurate service and maintenance documentation
• Work safely and in line with all health and safety procedures

Tower Crane Engineer Requirements

• Electrical qualification or trade background (electrician / electrical technician)
• Experience working on tower cranes, hoists or comparable heavy lifting or industrial equipment
• Confident diagnosing electrical, control and PLC faults
• Comfortable working at height and to strict safety standards
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel to sites
• Liebherr, Potain, Manitowoc or similar manufacturer experience is an advantage
