Trainee HVAC Engineer
Location: Ballymount, Dublin 24 (must live within c.1 hour commute)
Salary: Up to €40,000 DOE
Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Holidays: 25 days annual leave + public holidays
Syntech is proud to be working with an established technical services company in the Dublin area who are looking for a Trainee HVAC Engineer to join its team, working on cleanrooms and other controlled environments.
This is a permanent, full‑time role with structured training and long‑term progression in a specialist, growing field.

The Role
You will:
- Support the testing, commissioning and de‑commissioning of HVAC systems in cleanrooms / controlled environments
- Carry out routine measurements, checks and troubleshooting under supervision
- Work to detailed procedures and quality standards
- Prepare basic reports and documentation on work completed
- Liaise with senior engineers and customers on‑site when required
- Build your technical skills with a clear path to becoming a fully competent HVAC / cleanroom engineer
Full training will be provided; responsibility will increase as you gain experience.
Candidate Profile
Because of the technical nature of the work, a relevant qualification is required:
- Bachelor’s degree (level 7 or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, HVAC, Energy, Process, or a closely related discipline
You should also have:
- Genuine interest in HVAC, building services or cleanroom / controlled‑environment systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures
- Good problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn
- Clear communication skills and a professional approach on customer sites
- Full driving licence (or working towards it) is an advantage
Location requirement: You must live within approximately one hour’s travel of Ballymount, Dublin 24.
