WELDER / Fabricator

Reports to: Production Manager

Syntech Recruitment are working with a specialist client to recruit a number of Welder / Fabricators.

Welder Responsibilities
· Perform complex welding tasks requiring advanced MIG/TIG skills, including pipe spool work
· Supervise and guide Welder 1s through preparation, assembly and welding, ensuring consumables are correctly handled and issued
· Verify fit-up, weld quality and compliance against drawings and WPS requirements
· Review and interpret drawings, weld maps and fabrication isometrics, and verify weld logs and traceability records
· Support inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented
· Provide on-the-job training, toolbox talks and technical mentoring, and report progress to the Production Manager
· Support continuous improvement and maintain workplace discipline, cleanliness and efficiency

Welder Requirements
· Certified and experienced welder (MIG/TIG) with pipe spool experience
· Strong knowledge of welding procedures, codes and standards (ASTM, ISO)
· Able to supervise and mentor less experienced welders
· Competent in reviewing drawings, weld maps and technical documentation
· Good communication and reporting skills
· Right to work in Ireland

Highly Desirable
· Experience across stainless steel and carbon steel spool fabrication
· Inspection support and QA/QC exposure
